The world's forests are under unprecedented and extreme environmental pressure, affecting all our lives!

The Green Organic Investment Solution
Forests have a vital role to play in countering global warming, a fact no longer in dispute. Trees help offset climate change because trees absorb carbon dioxide, one of the main greenhouse gases, better than anything else and store it in their trunks and roots for generations.
But, all round the world, forests are being cut back through indiscriminate illegal logging, and new trees are desperately needed to replace them. Commercial plantations help relieve pressure on the existing rainforests as well as providing income for the communities living there. Some of the species grown by Oxigen can provide returns in excess of 20% per annum IRR, and forestry has consistently outperformed the stock market for the last century.
Where Oxigen comes in...
Tropical Forestry
Oxigen was formed five years ago to offer the opportunity to buy trees on commercial plantations in tropical countries. We currently operate in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Costa Rica. Owners can purchase trees which have been nurtured in our nurseries and then planted in our newly created sustainable forests. If they are seeking faster returns, they have the option of standing timber already in the ground at various ages, some only three years from maturity and return on investment.
Private buyers lease plots of our commercial plantations for the time it takes the trees to mature. When the trees are harvested, our clients take a profit. One of the main types of product, agarwood, from the tropical aquilaria tree, takes just six to seven years to grow using our highly advanced growing methods (see scientific techniques below). Other woods like teak develop over fifteen to twenty five year cycles, depending on husbandry methods.
All our forestry is supplied from our own stock and, on receipt of full payment, client ownership packages will be processed within seven days including issue of leases and all title documentation. On Oxigen's plantations, trees that have been cut down are replaced by new ones on the same land, so creating sustainable forests for generations to come. Thus you can quite literally watch your money grow. Proven forestry methods are enhanced by cutting-edge edge scientific techniques which will produce outstanding financial gains for clients in harmony with nature.
Carbon Offsetting Agroforestry
Customers can also invest in agroforestry which, quite literally, sits side by side with our tropical overseas timber. It combines traditional forestry and agricultural processes to achieve maximum organic land productivity and provide biodiversity. During a forest's early development there are many opportunities to interplant various crops between the trees, some of which help add nutrients organically into the soil reducing the use of chemical-based fertilisers. It's called interpolation. Crops such as tea, maize, dragon fruit, pineapple, bananas and mangos flourish on tropical plantations in Sri Lanka and Malaysia where Oxigen is growing agarwood, teak, and sugar palm trees. Oxigen will pay investors an annual rental income on their profits from harvesting these crops of up to 15% per annum. Our maize plantation in Sri Lanka also helps reduce carbon emissions by reducing the country's reliance on imports.

UK Woodlands and Forestry
Oxigen is now launching opportunities to own trees closer to home - in British woodlands. However we have not lost sight of our overall green ambitions, and profits from the sales of all UK woodlands will be used to replant deforested areas in the rainforests in the countries we opertate in overseas including Malaysia, Costa Rica and Sri Lanka. One barrier to owning UK Forestry is finding woodland that suits your budget. So Oxigen is buying woodland, and then splitting it into smaller more manageable units for individual ownership. Freehold and leasehold ownership, under Forestry Commission guidelines, can provide a relatively low, safe tax-free return with potential for profits as land values are set to rise and tax free income on forestry thinnings as well as sheltering from capital gains and inheritance tax (also potentially applicable to overseas forestry ownership).
